Stanbrook Abbey wedding album.
The big day dawns.
There’s no time for getting cold feet the night before the best day of your life, so tuck them in, snug and warm under the finest sheets in one of our most sumptuous bedrooms.
For the bride, you have a whole Manor House to relax, pamper and indulge in with your bridesmaids by your side as you spend your last night as a single woman.
With 5 glorious en-suite bedrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen and a parlour for those final touches, our beautiful Manor House provide the perfect start to your wedding celebrations.
As for the groom, we haven’t forgotten about you and your ushers. Our ‘Groom’s Room’ is perfect for the man of the hour. Spacious with a sophisticated, contemporary design and steeped in history, relax and play calm those last-minute nerves (or write those last-minute vows – we won’t tell the bride!).
The Ceremony.
The Big Day dawns but before we begin, let us just take a moment to address the father of the bride, not with a speech, but a room so he can practice his.
Our cosy Papa’s Snug offers a warm, relaxing ambience for the father of the bride (or the lucky person walking them down the aisle) as he prepares to walk his little girl down the aisle as she embarks on the next step of her journey.
Walkthrough the beautifully sculpted cloisters and into the inspiring Callow Great Hall where the ceremony will take place, licensed for up to 190 guests.
With exquisite stained-glass windows and a stunning Pugin-styled vaulted ceiling, exchange your vows in our former chapel, the perfect setting for a traditional wedding.
The Wedding Breakfast.
Host a showstopper reception in a setting that’s not only unique but completely exclusive to you.
We have a choice of beautiful locations within the magnificent architecture of our Grade II-listed Pugin Abbey and as a former monastery, it also makes an impressive backdrop for that all-important wedding album.
At Stanbrook Abbey, each of the function rooms can create the perfect ambience to fit your individual requirements.
Celebrate in style in St Anne’s Hall or The Thompson Dining Hall, both awe-inspiring settings for a sumptuous banquet served with your own personal stamp.
Tell us what you want and we will make it happen with a menu and after-party to match.
Our talented Head Chef is innovative in his ideas, creating a menu with passion and serving it with flair to deliver an indulging wedding feast to tantalise the taste buds of you and your guests.
Come and meet him, sample his food, talk local ingredients and together create a menu that’s personal to you and tailored to your palate – after all, this is one day that it’s all about you!
Stanbrook Abbey Wedding Night.
It’s the first night you’ll spend as a couple, so it can’t be anything less than special, memorable and relaxing following an emotion-fuelled day.
Spend your first night as newlyweds in one of our beautifully-designed luxury suites with sumptuous en-suite bathrooms and views looking out onto our stunning 26-acre estate.
There are 56 rooms and suites within the magnificent architecture of Stanbrook Abbey. Some of which were the former cells of the Benedictine nuns, the residents of the silent order monastery.
So why not invite your guests to stay as well? There’s plenty of room and our historic charm and quirky character with the odd nun’s habit found in the wardrobe will keep them inspired and entertained throughout their stay.
