Southport Weddings – As a wedding photographer based in the Southport area, it is always good to be working in here. Most of my wedding photography is in the southwest.
These days so it is always a welcome change to come back to Southport.
I photographed Kirstie & Lee’s engagement session about a year before the wedding. It always feels like a long way off but the wedding day soon comes around.

Southport Wedding at St. Cuthberts.
I started with the bride at her mothers home. An excellent opportunity for some lovely bridal preparation photography.
As a wedding photographer, it is important to capture some of the personal details.
The Bride travelled to St. Cuthberts Church in a horse and carriage.
St. Cuthberts church is set in the beautiful village of Churchtown. The village has retained some beautiful period buildings.
After the wedding service and some group photographs, it was time to head off. The newlyweds Headed to the Southport Convention Centre in the horse and carriage.

The newlyweds arrived at the Convention Centre to greet their guests and start the rest of the day’s celebrations.
The wedding venue was decorated beautifully with many personal touches from the couple.
As the guests mingled at the reception it was the perfect time to get some lovely candid photographs of the wedding guests.
This is always a good time to photograph some of the unique details the couple had arranged.
Once the wedding breakfast was done it was time for the speeches. All speeches were heartfelt and personal. There were tears and laughter, always a good sign.
The area around the marina makes for some beautiful newlywed photography. We took a walk along the pier and Funland before heading to the couples room in the Ramada hotel.
There we were able to take a lovely picture of the couple on their balcony with the pier bridge in the background.
Evening wedding celebrations.
We returned to the wedding venue to find the guests settled and ready for the bride and grooms first dance. After cutting the cake the couple took to the dance floor before being joined by their wedding guests,

St Cuthbert’s Church is an Anglican church in Churchtown, Merseyside, a village that is now a suburb of Southport in the English county of Merseyside. It is an active parish church in the Diocese of Liverpool and the archdeaconry of Warrington. It has been designated a Grade II listed building by English Heritage
