I recently photographed a San Diego wedding, starting with bridal preparation at the beautiful Hotel Del on Coronado Island. A stunning wedding venue in its own right and the location of many beach weddings.
The Hotel Del is more than just a beautiful wedding venue. It is a luxury beach resort/mini-village where fairy-tails come true.
Voted the #1 wedding destination in America by The Travel Channel. The historic San Diego hotel with its vibrant red turrets, this romantic 28-acre seaside setting is an idyllic place for family and friends to gather and celebrate. As well as one of San Diego’s most prestigious wedding venues.
Whether your wedding is traditional, a more personal event, an intimate destination wedding or grand-scale affair, the ballroom, garden or barefoot in the sand, the resort provides unlimited options for planning a dazzling Southern California beach wedding.
Once the girls were ready we made good use of this amazing venue and the beach, going for a walk and getting some photographs of the bride and her bridesmaids around this stunning hotel.
The Island Club – Naval Air Base, North Island Coronado.
The wedding ceremony was held at the Island Club on North Island Naval Base. At first, I thought it was a slightly unconventional venue for a wedding but once I was there it all made sense. A lovely intermit wedding venue just a short walk from the beach.
The wedding ceremony was lovely, set outside overlooking the beach. The reliable California weather did as it does pretty much every day. Living and photographing most of my weddings in the UK the dependable San Diego weather is refreshing.
After the wedding ceremony, we took the newlyweds for a walk on the beach with their bridesmaids and groomsmen to do a little couples wedding photography session. I made the most of this great location and had a little fun too.
