How Our Journey Together Works

Every wedding is different, but the path from first enquiry to final gallery is simple, well structured, and designed to keep everything feeling relaxed and under control.

Here’s what you can expect.

It starts with a simple message.

You send over your wedding date, venue and a few details about your plans, and I’ll come back to you with availability and some initial information.

From there, we can arrange a relaxed chat — in person where possible, or via phone or video — so you can tell me more about your day and get a feel for how I work.

No pressure, no hard sell — just a chance to see if everything feels like a good fit.

Once you’re happy to move forward, securing your date is straightforward.

An initial payment confirms your booking, and from that point, your date is locked in.

The remaining balance isn’t due until closer to the wedding, so everything is clear and manageable from the start.

If you choose to include a pre-wedding shoot, we’ll plan something relaxed in a location that suits you both.

It’s a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera, and it also gives you a set of images you can use for invitations, guest books or just to keep.

As the wedding gets closer, we’ll go through the details together.

We’ll look at timings, locations, group shots and anything that’s particularly important to you, so everything is well thought through in advance.

This part makes a big difference on the day itself — it means less stress, fewer unknowns, and more time for you to actually enjoy what’s happening.

On the day itself, my role is simple: keep things running smoothly and capture everything that matters without getting in the way.

That includes:

  • preparations and those quieter moments before everything begins
  • the ceremony, guests and atmosphere
  • natural interactions throughout the day
  • group shots (handled efficiently so they don’t take over)
  • a short, relaxed couples session
  • speeches, reactions and key evening moments

The aim is always the same — beautiful images, without making the day feel like a photoshoot.

After the day, your images are carefully edited and prepared.

Your full gallery is usually ready within around four weeks, giving you a complete set of photographs that tell the story of your day from beginning to end.

From there, you can decide if you’d like albums or prints, once you’ve had time to enjoy the images properly.

Wedding Photography Pricing

Every wedding is different, and the right coverage depends on your plans, your venue, and what matters most to you.

Many couples get in touch with a date and venue first, and we work out the right level of coverage from there.

Full wedding photography collections start from £2,000 for UK weddings, with destination coverage and more extensive collections priced individually.

Most couples are looking for a balance of beautiful images, calm professional support on the day, and a package that fits naturally around their plans rather than forcing them into a one-size-fits-all option.

I’m based in Lancashire, but I photograph weddings across the UK and also cover destination weddings.

As a general guide, many couples book around 12 to 18 months in advance, especially for popular dates and peak season weddings.

Some couples contact me when everything is mapped out in detail, while others are still pulling ideas together. Either way is absolutely fine. A first conversation is simply a chance to see if I’m the right fit and to talk through your plans.
