Wedding Preparation.

I started the day with the groom and his groomsmen at the Abbey House. A short walk from the Malmesbury Abbey wedding venue we would be attending later. A beautiful building filled with period memorabilia and ancient battle relics.

I arrived early and the boys were in good spirits relaxing with the occasional question about when they should start to get ready.

The Abbey.

Malmesbury Abbey was just a short walk from the Abbey House and it was a beautiful day. The Abbey is a lovely building with lots of natural light. I photographed the boys and guests arriving as we waited for the bride to arrive.

The bridesmaids arrived in a vintage bus and the bride in Morris minor decorated beautifully with flowers.

Sarah Looked stunning along with her bridesmaids. The bride led her bridesmaids into the abbey accompanied by her father.

The wedding service was just the right length with lots of light-hearted references. The couple exited the Abbey and took some time to greet their wedding guests.

As the guests started to set off to Cripps Barn we took the couple for a little walk around the grounds to get some pretty pictures.

Cripps Barn.

Cripps Barn is one of my favourite wedding venues and one I have probably photographed more than any other. This wedding venue is Ideal for after a church ceremony and also to hold a full day including a civil wedding service. The food is undoubtedly consistently some of the best in the area.

The newlyweds arrived shortly after the wedding guests and were treated to a shower of confetti. All the guests and the wedding party mingled and enjoyed this beautiful venue.

Cripps Barn offers many opportunities for breathtaking pictures and we took advantage of them.

The Venue was decorated beautifully as always with lots of personal touches from the couple. The guests settled for lunch and I took my break.

The speeches were kicked off by the father of the bride, followed by the groom and finished off by the best man.

After the meal and speeches, we took the newlyweds out for a walk in the grounds and some additional pictures. The barley in the field was being cut so we quickly nipped into the field between combine harvester passes to get some pretty pictures.

Wedding Celebrations.

The rest of the evening went as planned. The evening wedding guests arrived in time for the cake cutting. This led into the first dance and this led the celebrations into full swing.

A big thank you to everybody who made us feel so welcomed and part of the day as we worked photographing this beautiful day. As always a huge thank you to all the staff at Cripps for making the day run so smoothly.
