Cripps Barn A Beautiful Cotswold Wedding Venue.

Cripps Barn is a beautiful family-run rustic Cotswold wedding venue in the heart of Gloucestershire. Situated in Bibury this 18th Century converted barn is set in the beautiful Coln Valley.

With its flagstone floors, rustic beams and roaring open fireplace it has a welcoming and contemporary feel.

Ceremonies for up to 150 guests can be held in either the main barn or the woodland glade for a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony. The onsite team are always there to help you through every step of your wedding planning and will be on hand throughout your wedding day to make it your dream wedding.

The site has a rich and interesting history that the staff will be more than happy to tell you about.

The Main Barn.

The solid stone structure, medieval chandelier along with the large stone fireplace, a huge candelabra give this venue a truly rustic feel, I have photographed many weddings here and every couple has put their own stamp and feel to the venue.

The Woodland Glade.

The Oak Pavilion in a woodland glade of the gardens offers a delightful setting for your outdoor wedding at Cripps Barn and is close to the main building.

When the sun shines at this Cotswold wedding venue (and it does a lot) it is one of the most beautiful venues in the area.

Terrace & Grounds.

Directly outside of the main barn is a large terrace area perfect for your drinks reception, there are steps leading out onto the grounds so there is lots of space for a medium-sized wedding. With views over the Cotswold countryside, this is a perfect country wedding venue.

Everything at Cripps Barn is contained in a very well planned out space, everything is relatively close together but there is lots of space and lots of interesting and unique areas to use and explore.

The venue is set in a farming area and depending on the crop rotation most years one of the adjoining fields has a bountiful crop of corn or wheat, this can male for some beautiful wedding photographs for couples getting married in the autumn.

The fields to the back can often be used as a camping area for your guest for those who want a genuine country wedding experience and there are also many very well equipped hotels and holiday homes in the area for those who like their sleep to be a little more refined.

Dining at Cripps Barn.

I have been a full-time wedding photographer since 2009 and I can honestly say the food at Cripps is among the best.

If you have opted for the beef (and I strongly suggest you do). It will be prepared by their onsite chef in the giant rotisserie and BBQ grill area next to theTerrace. The smell always has my mouth-watering.

The canapés they serve during the drinks reception are delicious and their mini sausages are simply amazing.

They have many options for meals from getting your guest involved in the cutting serving of the beef to full (and very efficient) table service.

Late-night dining.

Cripps offer a large selection of evening food for your guests from hotdogs, big bacon baps, bao (chilli prawn) buns to roasted 4 day marinated pork rolls but my top recommendation is to go with the Baz & Fred’s Pizzas
