From the moment you arrive at Berwick Lodge, you can expect to feel totally at home. Set in 18 acres of stunning grounds, with views across to Wales as far as the eye can see. When you arrive from the sweeping driveway to the picturesque and photogenic backdrop of Berwick Lodge, we’ll be here to welcome you.
Berwick offers warming open fires in Winter, glistening fountains in the Summer and beautiful private rooms with stunning features of the original 1890’s house. If you’re looking to hold an unforgettable wedding in a charming and characterful venue, set in the secluded English countryside – this is it.

Berwick Lodge will be all yours – all 18 wonderful acres of it. Your wedding in our privately owned and independently managed countryside venue guarantees complete privacy for you and your wedding guests for the duration of your celebration.
Whether you are planning a small and intimate ceremony and reception or a larger wedding celebration, our special spaces and wedding license offer you total freedom to make your day everything you want it to be. From two people joining together for an elopement wedding, a smaller ceremony and reception for 70, or a celebration for up to 150 of your friends and family, Simone and our dedicated team will design your unique and personalised day with you every step of the way.
New for 2021 – in good weather, civil ceremonies can take place outside under Aphrodite’s Dome between 1st July and April 2022 – under the government’s relaxation of wedding restrictions.

Your wedding is so much more than a day. It’s creating forever lasting memories surrounded by the people you love, so why not make a weekend of it?
Make our house your home for the duration of your wedding celebration and invite your closest friends and family to stay with you overnight, extending your celebrations late into the night and the following morning. With 14 individually designed boutique rooms, all with en-suites and unique characteristics, there’s plenty of onsite accommodation for all of your nearest and dearest.
The beautifully maintained grounds are ideal for weekend games, space to enjoy the sunshine and entertain all members of your party. Our cosy lounge was made for enjoying a late-night drink in a relaxed and romantic atmosphere, before retiring to your choice of our uniquely designed deluxe suites, overlooking the gardens and sparkling lights of Wales.
Amazing food, fine wine, and lots of love
We know that food is an important part of your celebration, which is why our chefs will work with you to create the perfect menu for your day, or however long you decide to stay. We don’t just offer set menus, personalised menus can be crafted especially for you, in fact, we encourage your personality to shine through.
Our meat is sourced locally from Wiltshire and some of our vegetables and herbs are plated from our very own kitchen garden, so whatever you choose, you can be assured that your menu will be crafted from the finest and freshest locally sourced produce with lots of love from our passionate kitchen team.
A hand-selected and extensive wine list is waiting for you, with some of the best wines from across the globe to toast your marriage and complement your delicious menu of choice. Our on-hand Sommelier, Nicoleta, will be here to help you hand to match the wines to reflect your palate, menu and personality too.
With everything taken care of by our relaxed fine dining restaurant team, you can sit back under the twinkling chandeliers, stone pillar archways, and take in your guests enjoying a wedding breakfast that will be talked about for years to come.
18 acres of beautiful grounds
Former Highgrove gardener and our very own Head Gardener, Robert Dunster, maintains all of our beautiful grounds and countryside, encouraging wildlife and committing to using only organic pesticides.
Not just open green spaces, the grounds overlooked by the magnificent hotel house spectacular features and some of the most perfect picture opportunities for your wedding album.
An original 1920’s Victorian stone walkway sits under a beautiful pergola entwined with wisteria and clematis, leading the way to Aphrodite’s Dome. Aphrodite’s Dome, named after the Greek goddess of love and beauty, is a striking structure set on a beautifully tiled platform with an intricately designed dome roof and surrounded by marble ladies – it really is the most romantic setting for your couple photos.
The glistening fountain and cute, original summerhouse offer alternative picturesque backdrops for romantic photographs.
Because we are committed to sustainability, we offer you the chance to plant a tree that will begin in our grounds and go on to grow and flourish, just like your marriage, originating here at Berwick Lodge. You are welcome to come back for years to come to visit a symbol of your day.
